Information About Kuantan
Kuantan is the state capital of Pahang the largest state in Peninsular Malaysia. With a population of around 500,000, it is situated on the east coast of Peninsula Malaysia near Kuantan River mouth and faces the South China Sea. Sea breezes moderate the humidity somewhat, but the climate is generally reflective of Malaysia all year round, with temperatures averaging around 30°C or slightly above during the day. At night, temperatures tend to be in the low to mid 20’s. The city covers an approximate area of 2,453 km² (1,410.4sq miles).
